Job Description:
  • The Security Engineer will provide technical expertise covering a wide range of IT security solutions.
  • The position will provide great opportunities to grow technically in a fast-paced and exciting environment.
  • As part of the networking team the Security Engineer works to create and maintain a secure operating environment for users and business partners by securing network boundaries, ensuring infrastructure is hardened against attacks, and providing infrastructure security solutions to protect highly sensitive data.

  • Email security solutions (e.g., email gateways, anti-phishing, DMARC, DKIM, SPF)
  • Windows & Linux operating environments
  • Logging & SIEM solutions Functional responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
  • Designs, builds and operates infrastructure security solutions and platforms
  • Designs, builds and maintains security monitoring infrastructure
  • Participates in design, build, and maintenance of network infrastructure emphasizing security controls
  • Proactively proposes security improvements and stays abreast of evolving security threats
  • Audits infrastructure configurations, analyzes logs, responds to alerts, and investigates IDS and IPS events
  • Audits network topology and infrastructure security solutions of potential acquisition and merger opportunities
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
  • Support to security architect activity to meet security controls objectives
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Participation in client projects as a security Subject Matter Expert (SME)

Prior Experience:

  • Proven track record of successful IT project contribution from concept to completion
  • Proven track record of specialization in Network Security technologies including firewall, proxy server, remote access, and IPSEC VPN
  • Proven track record of successful network-level troubleshooting and break-fix implementations
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with IT system administration, and 3 years of experience with IT security administration
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Cloud security infrastructure
  • Experience with change management procedures related to network & security infrastructure
  • Experience with Procedural documentation/standards
  • Knowledge of Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and Payment Card Industry (PCI) data security standards 

Desired Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • CCNP Security and/or CCNA Security certification Security +


  • Supporting E-mail Security Gateway Migration and CASB
  • Top 5 items manager will look for on a resume are e-mail gateway, e-mail archiving, firewall, CASB (Cloud access security brokers), and Office 365 migration experience
  • Must have strong written communication skills and be self-motivated
  • Manager will conduct phone screens, followed by in-person interviews. Open to non-local candidates and able to interview via Webex
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
