Freddy Vaca Named Top Business Leader

Pinnacle Group News

“As one of the longest tenured team members at Pinnacle, Freddy has been an integral part to our firm’s growth into a global player in our industry and our continued recognition as one of the fastest-growing companies in the country,” said Nina Vaca, Chairman and CEO of The Pinnacle Group. “His energy and vigor can be seen both in his corporate leadership and his advocacy in the community. On behalf of the entire Pinnacle family — spread all over the world — we congratulate Freddy on this prestigious honor.”

As Senior VP of Strategy, Vaca is responsible for the overall direction of Pinnacle’s client services, sales, marketing and IT groups. By aligning these groups under his visionary leadership, Pinnacle is poised to take the next leap forward in its evolution. He has also been instrumental in driving Pinnacle’s past growth and key innovations, including Pinnacle’s acquisition of Provade in 2011. This immediately gave The Pinnacle Group a global presence in 37 countries, which has since expanded to over 60. Community engagement is one of Vaca’s key values, and he dedicates significant time and resources to causes supporting children, women and the homeless, including The Boys and Girls Club of America, Back on My Feet, Parents Step Ahead and Heroes for Children. He has been a featured speaker at several educational and business-focused institutions, including Texas Christian University and the United States Hispanic Leadership Institute.

“This program seeks to honor outstanding minority business professionals whose work is having a major impact on the local business community,” said Michelle Saunders, Associate Editor of the Dallas Business Journal. “But business prowess is not enough — these honorees, who hail from a variety of industries ranging from education to legal to economic development, also are making an incredible impact on the larger DFW community through their dedicated volunteer and mentorship efforts.”

Recently, Vaca was named to the board of directors of MyPlates, the sole provider of specialty license plates in the state of Texas, which leverages its proprietary software to contribute millions of dollars to the state general fund each year. He was also appointed to the policy council of the American Staffing Association, one of the largest and leading voices in the workforce solutions industry in the U.S.

Previously, the Dallas Business Journal named Vaca to its “40 under 40” list and the national publication Latino Leaders Magazine has called him one of its “Leaders of the Future.” Vaca is a graduate of the Southern Methodist University Technologies Program with a certificate in computer engineering and applied sciences. During his years at Pinnacle, he has participated in a number of management and developmental programs such as the Tuck School of Business’ Advanced Executive program at Dartmouth University and the Kellogg School’s Advanced Management Education program at Northwestern University.
