Nina Vaca has been named to Fortune Magazine’s list of the 50 Most Powerful Latinas in Business. The list was created in partnership with the Association of Latino Professionals for America (ALPFA).

The annual list highlights Latinas who have made significant achievements in business and in the community. It includes executives in key positions within Fortune 500 companies or large private firms, as well as entrepreneurs who are leading companies that are respected worldwide. Along with being published by Fortune Magazine, the list is also being published by People en Español and Latino Leaders magazine.

“ALPFA’s purpose is connecting Latino leaders for impact – in their homes, their workplace, and their communities.” ALPFA CEO Charlie Garcia said. “Today we celebrate the impact of these powerful Latina executives and entrepreneurs who are blazing a trail for others to follow.”

ALPFA developed the 50 Most Powerful Latinas list to amplify the voices of extraordinary Latina business leaders and to inspire the next generation of women in business. This year, nominees for the list nearly doubled, leading to the inclusion of 15 business leaders who hadn’t been featured before, including Jessica Alba, acclaimed actress and founder of The Honest Company and Honest Beauty.

Vaca, who was also named to the inaugural list last year, is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Dallas-based Pinnacle Group, one of the largest Latina-owned workforce solutions providers in America. Her success scaling Pinnacle Group into the middle market and her service as a director of three Fortune 1000 companies earned her the 26th spot on the list.

“It’s overwhelming to be named one of the most powerful Latinas alongside so many impressive leaders,” Vaca said. “Being one of the few entrepreneurs recognized is particularly meaningful. Entrepreneurs face unique challenges, but we also find unique solutions – it’s in our DNA. I am proud to represent the millions of Latina business owners who strike out on their own and contribute to a tremendous economic engine that drives our country forward!”
