Pinnacle Group, one of the nation’s largest IT staffing firms, recently shared new insights with companies from across North America at two of the staffing industry’s largest annual gatherings – Staffing Industry Analysts’ (SIA) Collaboration in the Gig Economy Conference (Sept. 10), and the 2019 RevGen Insight Summit (Sept. 9-11), both of which took place in San Diego, California.
At SIA’s Collaboration in the Gig Economy Conference, Freddy Vaca, President of Pinnacle Group’s Talent Solutions division, drew attention to what can sometimes be an overlooked resource – candidates with whom the company has an existing relationship.
“The gig economy and digital talent acquisition are here to stay,” said Vaca. “To succeed in this new environment, companies need to adjust their approach to finding the best talent. Former employees, current contingent workers, freelancers, and referrals often make the best candidates. And the best part is, companies already know them, and the candidates already have strong brand-attraction. By utilizing cloud-based tools as private talent clouds, companies can engage with these workers far more effectively, creating a win-win for the client and the candidate.”
However, Vaca warns that in today’s market, “it’s all about the candidate experience,” and he encourages companies to take a focused approach to creating an exceptional mobile candidate experience. Vaca touched on this topic more in depth during the roundtable he hosted about implementing chatbots and other AI-related technologies to help in the recruitment process.
At the 2019 RevGen Insight Summit, Pinnacle Group’s Senior Vice President of Sales Kyle Pittenger shared tactics that companies can use to harness the power of digital transformation to drive collaboration, transparency, and growth.
