A legal document that allows a foreign worker to come work in the United States for a U.S. employer temporarily and only for the purpose of performing services in a specialty occupation as defined by the U.S. government. Other stipulations include that the foreign worker must have at least a bachelor’s degree in a field related to the work that he or she will perform and that the employer pay the national wage, provide notice to its workforce, and not be involved in a strike or lockout.
