Nina Vaca, Chairman and CEO of major staffing firm Pinnacle Group, recently addressed Dallas-Fort Worth’s top business leaders and professionals at the Hispanic Leadership Summit: Dallas. Vaca’s keynote presentation highlighted the role of intentional leadership in maximizing the potential of Hispanic Americans and helping all of America thrive.

While discussing the important issues of visibility, perceptions, and framing of the Hispanic narrative within and outside the community, Vaca discussed the importance of having a proper perspective as a leader. She even called perspective the “secret sauce” that makes a great leader.

Coinciding with the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, the summit, which took place on September 9, 2019, was organized by We Are All Human, a nonprofit foundation that promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion.

The event culminated with the signing of The Hispanic Promise, a first-of-its-kind diversity and inclusion pledge for Hispanics in America. Joining Nina Vaca and Pinnacle Group in their pledge to reinforce their ongoing commitment to hiring, retaining, promoting, and celebrating Hispanics in the workplace were business leaders from other major DFW-based corporations, including AT&T, Yum! Brands, and PepsiCo. To date, more than 97 companies have signed The Hispanic Promise this year, including Microsoft, Aflac, and Unilever.

“I would like to thank Nina Vaca and Pinnacle Group for being true champions of the Hispanic community,” said Claudia Romo Edelman, former United Nations diplomat and founder and CEO of the We Are All Human Foundation. “By choosing to become a signatory to The Hispanic Promise, Pinnacle Group is not only showcasing its commitment to being a Hispanic-friendly workplace, but is also sending a strong signal empowering our youth, our workforce, our leaders, and our families who are quickly becoming a growth engine for the U.S. economy.”

Nina Vaca added: “Pinnacle Group is proud to support the Hispanic Promise as a symbol of our ongoing commitment to diversity in all aspects of our business that started when the company began over 23 years ago, including in all aspects of employment and in our supply chain. We are proud to be viewed as a leader in this area and hope it encourages other companies to increase diversity and inclusion in employment and to do more business with diverse-owned companies.”

Widely regarded for its commitment to diversity and inclusion, Pinnacle Group’s corporate staff is comprised of over 60% women and over 40% minority employees. Fully minority and woman-owned since its launch in 1996, the company’s commitment to the diversity of thought has helped establish it as a global workforce solution provider and a leader in its industry.
